Android 7.1.2 breaks fingerprint some Pixel and Nexus devices

We would think that after so many issues in the past, Google would take enough time to make sure that new Android updates are completely bug-free. Too many times Pixel and Nexus users had troubles with their phones after installing Android updates released by Google. The Google Pixel has already had a few issues with software including: a glitchy Bluetooth radio, LTE-related problems, and a problem with the camera that causes the operating system to crash. Let’s hope Google doesn’t need to deal with these little issues on the next Pixel phones. Every other Android update, some other damaged function. Google isn’t having the very best of good fortune with assisting its latest smartphones: the Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL.  The issue appears to be affecting both the Pixel and Pixel XL, as well as the LG-made Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus 6P.

Android-Nougat-Update-761125

Google has started rolling out the Android Nougat 7.1.2 update to all Pixel and Pixel XL users across the globe. The Android Nougat 7.1.2 update brings with a number of bug fixes and improvements targeted at the two Pixel smartphones in particular. Unfortunately, the search giant did it again, as Android 7.1.2 Nougat update breaks the fingerprint sensor on the Pixel and Nexus smartphones. For the time being, it’s unclear if this is a widespread issue or something isolated.

The update is reportedly disabling the fingerprint scanner in some Pixel and Pixel XL devices. Many users have taken to the Google Product forums to complain about the same. It has to be kept in mind that not all users are experiencing the problem. If you have a Pixel smartphone, there is a chance you might notexperience this issue at all after updating.
