Web Programmer (Code: SIPLSD)
The Software Developer will be focused on creating web applications, software and solutions for robust reporting and tracking of Swayam Infotech’s key business and site/service drivers. This position requires the ability to analyze the project, including pre-project preparations right towards its successful coding and development and beyond. In this role, you will implement and maintain accepted best practices for data analysis, data extraction and report presentation. This role requires working with external client data resources, internal business units (operations and systems) and internal technical resources to maintain quality data management.
Responsibilities:
The Web Development engineer will be part of a team responsible for the development of Swayam Infotech web-service applications primarily in PHP using Apache and Linux; ASP/ASP.Net using Microsoft Access or Oracle/SQL Server and Windows; JSP using SQL Server.
You will be responsible for developing production-level code as well as proof-of-concepts and prototypes.
You will take a ownership of your individual projects and utilize your hands-on experience to interface and collaborate on parallel projects.
You will work primarily with PHP/ASP/JSP, procedural and object-oriented design, dynamic content retrieval, performance optimization techniques, unit testing techniques, debugging techniques, state management, HTTP, and Apache/IIS 5.0 or later.
You will be working within a Linux (for PHP) and primarily open-source environment.
Writing standards-compliant complex CSS, XHTML, JavaScript, within a small group in a start-up development environment.
Requirements: The candidate should be an MCA, BE/BTech (IT/Computers only) or any equivalent graduation/post-graduation. He/she should have profound knowledge in ASP/.NET/PhP/JSP (any one among this would work).
Strong command of CSS, HTML/XHTML, JavaScript.
Experience : 0 to 2 years of experience required.

Web Designer (Code: SIPLWD)
Swayam Infotech is looking for an energetic, friendly, self-starter to be responsible for all our web design and graphics functions. Qualified candidates will have the ability to take on additional responsibilities as the company grows. Your job function will be the complete lookout of our design processes.
Requirements: Practical knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Macromedia Flash. Candidates with extra knowledge in other graphical tools will be given advantage.
Experience: Qualified candidate will have minimum 1 year of experience in the web design or graphics field.

Search Engineer (Code: SIPLSE)
Swayam Infotech is looking for an engineer who is specifically interested and talented in the area of search. Working for Swayam Infotech enables you to work on a real-time search engine touching millions of people worldwide. We are making bleeding edge innovations in search and we are looking for a senior developer who is interested in jumping into this new and unique search space. We currently have a team of seasoned veterans coming from the search space and welcome the opportunity to discuss this role in more detail if you feel you are a fit!
Reponsibilities :
You will be responsible for current and forthcoming feature development, and enhancement for Swayam Infotech’s real-time search engine.
In this position you will utilize your strong technical background and excellent interpersonal skills to work with the Swayam Infotech development team to implement small and large-scale projects focusing on the search functions of our site.
Deliver and own all aspects of application components, from engineering specification to implementation, as we incorporate new services and verticals.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
A BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent with 1+ years of software development experience several of which have been focused on search.
Experience with various methods of information retrieval and filtering, textual analysis and classification.
A strong understanding of OOAD, design patterns, and software engineering methodologies.
Word stemming and synonym mapping systems such as wordnet.
Excellent analytical, design and programming skills, with demonstrated ability to deliver high quality software under web-time pressure.
Solid practical experience in large scale application development on Unix platforms, preferably using Java.
Solid experience with advanced algorithms and data structures.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be a team player.
The ability to thrive in a start-up environment working on a large consumer-facing web services organization.
Bonus:
Experience in the following areas will be highly regarded:
Search engine internals, and the various ways in which a search engine can be utilized by end-users and partner verticals, and for advanced internal projects.
Clustering.
Lucene and/or Nutch, or any other high-performance full-text search system.
LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl/PHP/Python) development.

Lead Animator (Code: SIPLLA)
Swayam Infotech is one of the finest animation and multimedia firm which have started operations in the 21st century. We require 2D and 3D animators who have a power to imagine and encaptualise the animation processes for web (Internet/Intranet) and film.
Requirements: The selected candidate should be having an animation degree from Maya, Arena or other equivalent (or higher) institues.
